Oscar voters have been predominantly white and male since the inception of the Academy Awards in 1929. In 2014, The Atlantic revealed that 94% of voters are white and 76% are men. Fortunately, the Academy has become slightly more diverse since the study was conducted. But many, including myself, are frustrated that white men continue to dominate voting panels.
