Have you ever heard of the quote 'Whatever the Mind of Man can Conceive and Believe, it can Achieve'? It represents that your thoughts are powerful and you attract what you choose to believe- which is the basis of The law of Attraction. It is defined by:
" A philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person's life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes. It is based on the belief that thoughts are a form of energy and that positive energy attracts success in all areas of life'.
This ultimately means that you attract what you put out into the universe. If you are struggling with a positive 'money mindset', putting The Law of Attraction into practice and finding techniques can completely change your life!
It changed mine about 3 years ago when I went through a really rough patch in my life. I used to research ways to get over current situations that I was going through. I was already writing down my thoughts and feelings in a journal, but I felt as though that only went so far. I came across a page about positive affirmations and positive energy change using philosophies such as the Law of Attraction and manifestation. I got so involved and captivated by this new change that my life and mindset could turn into that I would sit there, reading through website after website, researching and studying this new found lifestyle I could have. Stumbling upon the website was perfect timing for when I needed it the most for changing my lifestyle, my relationships, my friendships, and my work. I fully allowed myself to pursue these changes, and therefore attracted the right people and opportunities in my life too. These patterns have become engrained in my mind and I continue to find this topic completely fascinating and extremely powerful.
Why am I not attracting money?
The easiest option is to complain about your financial situation, but your thoughts are powerful, therefore by saying these thoughts outloud, you are manifesting the burdens into the universe, making it hard for opportunities of money and wealth to find you whilst in a negative mindset. Most people want to feel no financial burden in their life, but believe they will never get what they want. This is called the scarcity mindset- obsessing over the 'lack' of something in your life. This immediately brings negative feelings upon yourself, others around you and ultimately, the way in which you live your life.
Whilst I was scrolling through TikTok the other day, I stumbled across a podcast that made me want to spread more light on this topic. A small but helpful way to shift your money mindset differently is to elevate your energy into not seeing spending (within reason) like you're 'wasting money', but instead thinking of it like a trade of money for an equal amount of goods. Being able to shift your thoughts into knowing that your money is coming back to you in positive ways such as fitness etc., is an approach you can try. For example, your essential weekly food shop is bringing you health, nutrients and brain power your gym membership is helping your body stay fit. Complaining and surrounding yourself with negative thoughts of money will not attract money- it will only show when you allow money in your space and focus your energy on letting it show. Therefore, having a scarcity mindset and feeling like the world doesn't allow you to have the money you want will create an energy block between you and what you desire.
So, how can I attract money?
One of the biggest and most powerful tools to use when wanting to shift your money mindset positively is being grateful for what you have right now, including the simple things in life that make you happy. Listing three things in the morning and the evening that you are grateful for will allow yourself to open up the space for positivity. Being grateful for the money and belongings you have now will open up gratitude and positivity for your current situation.
Another example is prioritising the little things in your life to make it feel like you already have money. For example, having fresh and clean clothes with no stains or threads makes people see you as 'put together' and like you have money. By living like you already have what you want, you are already taking important steps towards your goal and visualising yourself in the position you want to be in.
Practising positive affirmations such as 'I am open to receiving money' and 'I am worthy of the wealth that I desire' will help strengthen your positive mindset and open your subconscious up to what you truly deserve, and your brain will learn to believe it.
Finally, being realistic with your current financial situation is important. Being honest with yourself will allow you to make realistic changes. This can be a difficult situation to put yourself in, however when you feel comfortable in doing so, your energy will attract what's best for you as an individual.
